We have accomplished so much these past 7 years! So proud of all my students!
2020-2021
The 6th graders of Fall 2016 created something very exciting in class! They worked hard to create a classroom monarch butterfly to send to Mexico to represent the migration from Canada. On the butterfly, they represented the culture of RMS, N.C., and the U.S. They learned to become global citizens and ambassadors of international cooperation and friendship. Students in Mexico will receive our butterfly in the Fall, and then in the Spring, we will receive another monarch butterfly from a different class! Check out the map to see where our butterfly is! Also, check out the school in Mexico that received our butterfly!!
Our classroom butterfly landed in 2 different locations! (New York and Colorado!) Click the links below to read more about the locations, their messages, and how to contact the class.

Spring 2017:
We finally received our classroom butterfly from Ansonia Elementary in Ohio! Loved seeing all of the pictures and the butterflies that made it back from Mexico! Also loved the community and culture we all shared!
